ooo-Wee! 'like the sinister dry whisperings of dead things and regret'! You're waxing so Edgar Allen Poe-etic - I can imagine I'm shivering my timbers standing in your woody park listening to that druidic Holey Oak tree... And Finny's 'wild child' side is still photogenic...that dog just doesn't take a bad photo, even on a bad hair day (her eyes say it all!)

Finnyphotos(TM) are soothing my dog-enraptured-deprived heart. And I love the oak. And I love that you name the places around you (so very Anne of Green Gables!) And I just plain love YOU! Just what I needed after a busy busy (but funderful!) day!

We have flowering plums that have that same sort of thing...in plums, it's called 'shot hole' and it is caused by something in the soil...just what you wanted to know, right? Your oak leaves are far prettier than the ones on our plums, though.
