"Oh!" I thought, right before I was about to turn the computer off and get my butt in bed, WAY past my bedtime..."I'll go check and see if wee has posted, since it's been about 24 hours since her last one and I can't wait to see what #3 is...EEEEEK!"

WIBBLE

Is that what those are called? Money spiders?? So cool! Oooo... that beastly second spider makes me feel like something's tippling over my skin. And it also makes me remember a poem you wrote about spiders coiling through the grass. And bats. That hinging under the eaves like some demented bat poem. Now hey -- that's a suitable one for All Hallow's Eve, no? I do the glass/paper thing too. Usually I don't drop it in the middle of the lawn and bolt for the house though. For I spent years changing diapers and am now SuperWoman.

oh, pooh. Ickle.org is no more. Too bad, becaue it was a great site devoted to itty bitty things. Anyway, legend has it that if a money spider crawl across your palm (or elsewhere, I assume) you'll be coming into money soon. And yeah, Karos, my one published poem... kinda abandoned that whole poetry thang sometime back. But there was no spiders involved. Bats and snakes. I'll have to dig it up... but the first couple lines went "If you want to hinge under my eaves/like some abandoned, reckless bat / That is alright. /I have hinged myself also/on the swinging door of someone else's night/ I may even send a warm breath or three/ to melt and ease your cold.... and I don't remember the rest.

I wish I'd thought to look at the comments before I timed out like 5 times trying to get the link to work (I thought it was me or my computer!) Also, I've really got to work on my arachniphobia (?) - & find me some of those little red devils! Did they work, Wee? Are you as rich now as Monty Burns (& would that make Jack your Mr. Smithers?) Like the poem...

I don't think I wrote about this, but when I was at my girls' beach weekend recently, I had this dream that there was a spider in my hair and I was freaking out. Apparently, my friend in the next bed saw me waving my arms around and grabbing at my hair. She thought I was very odd. But spiders give me the creeps. Love your art.

I second Karos's comments...that spider with pix and story is about the creepiest thing I've seen in, oh, my whole life! I'm good with 0-4 legs. If something's got more than 4 legs, I will be as far away from it as possible...
