You my FAVOURITE ho.

lizardek - 2005-07-19 16:18:54
Yo HO HO, that is JUST what I needed for a boring evening home alone with the whole internets open! Thanks, Wee! *blows you kisses and fans you vigorously with a big cooling fan*

I've been lusting after those toikka birds for a long time, too. Only problem? I can't decide which one I like best! COVET!

I feel like we can totally turn this toe tag thing into the newest fashion craze. One can see one's toe tag when one is wearing one's flip flops...

OHMIGOD, your new header is so HAWT!

breana - 2005-07-20 16:27:50
I feel much worse for you folks, because at least down here we're used to the heat. We know what to wear, and to always carry handkerchiefs for wiping sweat off our brows, and to move really slowly. Your houses are built to keep heat IN, for crying out loud. I like the new header. Is it weird that I got a craving for Cajun food when I saw it?

wee - 2005-07-20 16:52:27
hmmm... it does kinda have that cajun flavour! mmm... I loves me the cajun cooking! And Breana, we DO have air conditioning! Thang is, so far this summer is shaping up to be the hottest summer on record. The hottest summer EVAH!!! It's nasty... and as soon as the humidity rises, so does the smog levels. to absolutely dangerous proportions. It's not a good mix. Today, though... today (being Wednesday) it was lovely. Still hot, but no humidity. What a difference that makes. Unfortunately, humidex is suppose to rise through the evening and we'll be back at 100 plus degrees by tomorrow noon again. crap.

I love all the links...great fun. My Bonnie is suffering through all this horrid humidity, too, but it hasn't soured her on the East, yet. Here in Oregon, we have been having 85-95 degree days, but our humidity is at about 35%. Lucky us.

Ooh! Cool--er, HOT new header! Like it! And thanks for sharing the links, Wee. I especially enjoyed Yoko's folio. Aaaand...as for weather, I come up Nahth for the summer to stay COOL! What's the deal!? : )

There is a letter arts conference in Dallas this week that also has a display of calligraphic envelopes sent to Oprah, which you can see at: http://www.legacies2005.com/gallery/index.php?&PHPSESSID=fd64d453fb932c195af7306a42d0b1a1

*SIGH* i am not a hot, muggy humid weather person either! it's all i can do to beat this nasty heat! where are you from? because here on the eastern seaboard, i live in an old brick house that is roasting! with no a/c! if this is the last comment you ver see from me...it's because they found me, shriveled and dried out from summer...on top of my keyboard. following all these wonderful linkages you have shown me...

lizardek - 2005-07-25 04:00:46
oooh, way to make me fall in love with your talents all over again. The lilacs!! *swoon*

Is 'how's your belly off for spots?' a cowboy saying? I'd always assumed it to be an English phrase. I heard a few relatives and family friends use it when I was a kid, and I remember reading that once someone went up to Noel Coward and asked him to say something witty, and he replied 'How's your belly off for spots'. Hope the weather round your way is more pleasant now - we've just had 3 days of non-stop rain... love and hugs xx
