Ugh. The north in winter. I grew up in Detroit, so even when the sun finally comes back, the smog obliterates its warmitude. Move south, it's lovely. Oh, except today, it's all fugly rainy, with wind. But it's USUALLY okay.

And our gal has been really insistent on constant attention and schlepping us around in the grey and snow with her, webbed retriever feet and all. We're moving south in the month, looking forward to extended spring. Not so much the drawl.

a) that sucks about the dentist, i get it, and i am sooooo sorry. b) i am with you on the crankitude, since i, too, HATE to be cold. where the hell has the nice warm, southern california sun gone??? (and yes, i know that about 6 months in, i will be griping that there's too much sun here, but you try going for 10 months full of nothing but sunny days, one after the other, each exactly like the last, and then we'll talk) c) that crystal light thing jack said was funny. i laughed. out loud, even. :) kd
