What a lovely post. It's true what that professor said -- you are a lovely writer. I had some incredible images in my head as I read this. Thanks!

This was truly lovely! I wish my college experience would turn out as great as your sounds. Mine so far seems so childish in comparison with your sophisticated sounding one.

I, too, really love your writing. I hope that you are using this special skill...well, besides entertaining us net-sters here in blogland.

ooo, you guys...blushing all sorts of feisty violet! And dear Shan... believe me, my college experience sounds much more sophisticated than it actually was when filtered through the sieve of nostalgia and re-runs of the Gilmore Girls. There was childishness (of the frequently and ridiculously drunken kind) aplenty. That's part of the experience too... savour it. You'll likely spend the rest of your...ahem...sophisticated...adulthood trying to recapture that very same childishness!!!

Your professor was right, wee my darling dear. I think it's a shame that we are always wondering what to be when we grow up, because we forget to be WHAT WE ARE NOW! :)

What a gorgeous post! You're such a tremendous talent, and yay for nostalgia. Lizardek is right; savoring what we are now makes for what we'll be when we grow up, no?

oh wee, this post was so good. You are an amazing writer, and I'm glad Mr. Fancy Pants noticed that. The first paragraph brought some Tori Amos lyrics to mind, because I'm weird like that - 'god I love to turn my little blue world upside down'
