Sounds like Jack's a convert. I'm out there dancing the happy spring dance, too. You've been missed though, my dear. :) Not that I haven't smiled every time I clicked on your site only to be greeted by Finny's happy grin!

Oh. Oh. Oh. First, that photo is spectacular! Simply amazing. Second, you have inspired me so with your aching, filthy body. Soon, soon-- I will be free to partake of aching muscles and dirty fingernails-- but til then I LOVE reading your version. And, of course-- go Jack!!

Dearest Wee. I have no yard to garden, so I've been using pots in my office. I'm growing a sunflower there, just to prove it can be done.

There must be something ingrained to our female beings about gardening. It must root back to the days of hunter/gatherers, as we planted our gatherings and gathered our plantings. I feel very good, very human when I am in the garden, and otherwise icky things don't bother me so much when I'm there in the thick of it. Enjoy it Mel, smell that dirt, feel it in your fingers, pat it round those flowers, nurture and mother those seeds... :) P.S. Have you ever been here?: http://www.yougrowgirl.com/
