O Diarylanders, today is a sad, sad day indeed. I've just heard on CNN that Gregory Peck, that most chisled and handsome of actors, is dead at the age of 87.
I am but one of the millions who mourn him. In Roman Holiday and To Kill a Mockingbird, he made my heart swell and pitter patter like no other actor who has graced the screen before or since. That jaw, that stern slope of nose, those determined eyebrows and steely stare. Beautiful, beautiful man. He was not just a fine actor, but seemed like such a fine man... committed, caring, compassionate.
Rest in peace, Mr.Peck.
