blahs, back pain and bathing suits

January is continuing to make it's heavy blah and blue presence felt around the House of Wee still and still and still!

On Monday, the wolf threw out her back again and we were off to the vet. She has an appointment with the doggie chiropractor later today and I'm hoping she (the chiropractor) can provide some treatment options and alleviate the poor wolf's discomfort. Poor poor Wolf... she's not having a good time lately. We discovered during our vet visit that she's packed on ten pounds since September which is roughly equivalent to 50 pounds on a person! Oy!

So not only is she under strict orders to rest her back meaning no running, no jumping, no walks through the park... No leaping, no bounding, no prancing, no dancing... she's on a strict diet too until she loses ten pounds. She is not really enthused about all of this, as you can imagine. Aside from feeling a little relieved about not having to go trudging through the arctic deep freeze that has seized the lakeshore this week, I'm not happy about this either. sigh.

But here. Feast your eyes on this. It's Lydibug in all her bathing suit splendor.

lydibug

She is all sunshine and pink things. She constantly deposits bright little notes in my guestbook that leave me all bashful and beaming. And she's got adorable kitties named Boo and Atticus. So go visit her and say hello.

This is kind of my new obsession, doing pretty portraits of my fave d-landers. So it's only a matter of time before your mug shows up here. The portraits I've done so far are based on photos swipd from their diaries, but not all of you have posted pics of yourselves, which is cool. It will just force me to be more creative and portray you as you exist in my mind's eye.
