*hands you a dozen roses to commemmorate your big day, the pale peachy-yellow kind with the pink-tipped, blush-kissed edges*

I hope your writing will still be a part of your "grownup-life" because your voice is so sure and so superb, along with your art it is sure to blow all of your potential clients away...to the bank where they write out very large commission checks to you and then happily frame and/or publish your beeootiful art. I would miss the romping wee (AND the wolf! O very much!) if they were to dance off into the distance forever, so I'm glad to hear they will stick around. :) I can't wait to see your portfolio grow.

Hugs and smooches!

Congrats Wee! I am looking forward to your new site!! Also, I must tell you that I am ever so glad that you discovered Loobylu and hoped onto the blog bandwagon yourself. Yours is one of my favourites and I'm looking forward to seeing what you'll come up with for you nice clean slate! For the record, I don't think you've written anything unbecoming previously, so link away... or don't... =) All the best!

Oh I'm so excited for you! I don't think you have to worry about anything you've written here. Your writing shows depth of vision and intense emotion, which are attributes you put into your art as well. It's not like you're all, "Oh. My. God. I am like soooo hot for Brad Pitt. He like, totally rocks my world and I am waaay better looking than that Angelina Jo-beeyotch." Although, you might want to erase this comment. ;)

as a longtime lurker I have to tell you that YOU inspired me to get myself on diaryland. i have so enjoyed your witty and whimsical writing. if anything i'd say that were i looking for an illustrator for just about anything, your blog would only convince me more of your deep well of talent. thank you for the glorious blog, and i look forward to seeing your new site take shape...

Congratulations on your new domain!!! :) You made me laugh; when I first started my own domain, I too would click on it just to soak up the possibility! :) I will miss your blog here, but so long as there's another to read, that's a good thing. :) Having a blog that talks about your work and links out to other sites having to do with your work, etc. does help to generate more traffic to your site. I have one on mine, but I try not to talk about anything too personal, and definitely not political, so I don't risk driving away people who feel differently. But then, as I have said, I am not so charming and delightful anymore, and certainly not so much as you. :) I will miss the Wee alter ego, but it is you behind it, afterall, so I am glad you will continue blogging. I would be bummed not to read you. And I wish you all good and wonderful things and much success. kd

I shall follow you wherever as long as you keep using those beautiful flower photos - oh if only I knew enough html to make my own blog as pretty!

Jill - 2005-08-11 19:58:01
Congratulations!

Detlef - 2005-08-11 23:04:37
Congrats. As you know I've been hanging out to see much more of your work, so can't wait for the new site to be fully operational (make that operational because there'll no doubt be a lot of tinkering)...anyway make th portfolio your priority so that I can admire.

I suppose this means that my idiosyncracy can't be that I don't do memes?? :P Hmm...I'll have to think about this one, so it might be a day or so. :)

lizardek - 2005-08-12 15:48:16
Done! How's THAT for an idiosyncrasy?? Can't not do what wee commands.

Ooooo. I spent all that time with you and didn't know about #3 -- I think it is #3 but as Diaryland is wont to do I cannot reference it... but let's say Q-tippery and assorted ickery. Anyway, I'm like that too. What the hell? And I know that makeup face and have referenced it in a past comment I believe. I think your lipstick application looked a lot like some smouldering '70s porn star playing to the camera. No -- no, that's a good thing! Congrats on the domain. I look forward to seeing how your shingle hangs. I'm really not sure what to say about connecting a blog to a business portfolio, but given the fact that any of your twistedness is candy-hued, I doubt there is much to compromise your integrity as an artist, and it could serve to make you ever-the-more endearing.

i started a diaryland blog because i stumbled on your site. i have recently moved the blog elsewhere, but i credit you and loobylu with getting me started with my selfabsorbed blog.

Damn, I've made it to the end. Now I predict total withdrawal symptoms within 24 hours. As happened with Danny Gregory's blog (where I got the link to this one). I've worked my way through from the very beginning in under a week. Thank you for letting me into your life, and I'd more than welcome the Fin-meister's paws all over me if ever we met in the park.

peth - 2005-08-18 12:56:56
Ooh, Congratulations on the new site! Good news!

I didn't know that you were from Calgary...my husband's parents are from Calgary. In fact, my husband's grandfather was the founding librarian of the Calgary library system and has a branch named after him. His name was Alexander Calhoun.
